 A Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) is a person who evaluates employees who have violated a DOT drug and alcohol program regulation and makes recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare. We work with the Ringer Center in Greensboro, NC.

If you need to Start your SAP Program give us a call and we will give you our Personal SAP Referral. Our SAP Provider has 20+ years of experience performing DOT Substance Abuse assessments as required by DOT.

Both DOT and Non-DOT Drug and Alcohol testing and collection services. All DOT testing complies with 49 CFR Part 40, specific DOT modal regulations and DHHS Specimen Collection Procedure Guidelines. PDSS recommends mirroring DOT regulations for your Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing programs as well. PDSS only uses SAMHSA Certified Laboratories to conduct all drug testing.

 “Consortium” is defined by DOT’s FMCSA regulations as including, but not limited to, a group of employers who join together to administer DOT drug and alcohol testing programs. A Consortium is managed by a “Service Agent” referred to as a C/TPA. Consortia offer the ability for multiple DOT employers to pool together their DOT employees with other like companies to facilitate their random testing program.

As your Third Party Administrator (TPA), First Stop Med can manage all, or part, of your Drug and Alcohol Testing Program. DOT refers to TPAs that Manage DOT testing programs as “Service Agents.”
